Meridian Graphing
Traditional Chinese acupuncture began approximately 5000 years ago. A universal energy form known as ‘chi’ flows through specific channels also known as meridians throughout the body. There are 12 main meridians on each side of the body which are named after the organs. According to acupuncture theory all diseases and psychological disorders are caused by an energy imbalance in these 12 acupuncture meridians.

In 1951, Dr. Yoshio Nakatiani, MD, PhD. developed a method of evaluating the meridian system of the body electronically by measuring skin conductance at particular acupuncture points. These ‘source points’ are located on the wrists and ankles, and can be found on each of the 12 meridians. These measurements are taken bilaterally and then put into a graph form. From this graph, Dr H’Doubler is then able to construct a ‘5 Element Evaluation Chart’ which is a treatment plan customized to each patient that can help a wide variety of symptoms including pinched nerves, liver functions and many other conditions.
